Blue Moon Stew ~ what I'm listening to

Have you ever had a moment when it sort of felt like the stars alligned and everything was perfect? Tonight is that night for me. It's a completely ordinary night, nothing special, but at the same time it is. I came home excited to make a delicious beef stew and set about to making it after changing my clothes from work. I put on Pandora and set it to my She&Him station. Have you ever wondered if your Pandora station can read your mind? I feel like that tonight! The music has been so perfect I downloaded half of what I heard and already made a cd from it. As I was searing the meat for the stew I realized I had forgotten to buy a bottle of beer for the recipe. I ran down to the corner liquor store and bought a bottle of Blue Moon. Mostly because it was the cheapest but I'd also heard good things about it from friends. I poured half of it into the stew and decided that even though I'm not a beer drinker I'd see if I could drink the rest of the bottle. Um, it's delicious beer! I think it's my new favorite for sure! Now, this was no standard size bottle of beer so drinking half of it was enough to get me nice and relaxed and happy. If you decide to try it, you are supposed to drink it with an orange slice in it, I didn't have that tonight but next time I have one I will for sure!

What am I listening to?

Ok, so I'm going to reveal something that might make me seem a little behind the times... I've only recently begun burning my own cd's. It only occured to me to try it about a month or so ago. In my defense I had a piece of crap computer that for some reason wouldn't burn cd's that would play in the car. I got a new computer earlier this year and didn't think to try it until recently. Now that I can I want to burn tons of them so I can have all of my favorites in the car!

I was writing on one of the cd's one day and well, I don't always have the nicest handwriting. I decided that if I'm going to look at these cd's I'd rather them make me smile than think I have crappy handwriting. I decorated them with my sharpie, and now they make me smile!

I wanted to share what I'm listening to because a lot of the time I find music inspiring, it's a big part of my life. I listen to a pretty wide range of music which I think just alludes to my multi-facetedness (I don't really think that is a word).

Today I'm sharing what I call my modified country mix, or folksy country, or bordering on bluegrass... not sure how to nail it down.  I couldn't include all of the songs but it gives you a good idea of what kind of mood I've been in.

I would like to start listening to more bluegrass, anyone have any suggestions?
