I actually got choked up

I'm not a very political person in general, at least I haven't been in the past. Maybe I will be now, who knows. I actually got a chance to watch the inauguration and speech. I was moved to tears. I thouroughly enjoyed his speech, especially the parts about the environment and our energy sources. He said something along the lines of "it's time to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off" and I can't help but notice that our country started to fall apart at the same time as my life. The road ahead is going to be tough but it will eventually get better. I'm proud to be an American right now. I can't wait to see what is to come!
