Seafood Watch

A lot of people think of being green as recycling and conserving water, among other things. But did you know that you can be green by making conscious choices about what kinds of fish you eat? Or any foods for that matter. It's greener to be a vegetarian, it's also greener to eat foods that have been locally grown. But this post is about fish so I'll get on with it. The Monterey Bay Aquarium provides a constantly changing list of fish that are great choices, good choices and ones to avoid. You can print it and fold it up in your wallet or purse. There are options for different locations in the U.S. AND in these days of technology those of you with iphones can download the seafood watch app for free! You can visit seafood watch on Twitter and Facebook too! So now none of you has an excuse for buying endangered seafood from now on! Help our oceans replenish and thrive again by buying seafood responsibly! Check out the Seafood Watch page here to download the printable pocket guide and get the iphone app.
