Last weekend

High Hand Nursery in Loomis, Ca.

Last weekend for Mother's Day I took my mom to High Hand for lunch. It's up highway 80 on the way to Tahoe just after Roseville. I can't say that there is much else in Loomis but it's worth going there just to see this nursery. It's beautifully done and a relaxing place to just walk around. They have a wonderful collection of Japanese maples, which I absolutely love. Some of the are quite large, and for a huge sum I'm sure you could buy one.

I love this pot and the juxtaposition of the bright green foliage and the orangey one.

I wished I could be a little gnome and live in a little house in this pot.

This is an apple tree, I loved seeing them grown like this.
